Crystal Potassium Tltanyl Phosphate (KTP) is a nonlinear optical (NLO) material, characterized by high NLO coefficient, wide transparency, wide temperature synchronism width and moderate damage threshold. The single crystal of KTP is used for effective nonlinear transformation of laser radiation. It’s most popular application is for Second Harmonic Generation (SHG). The properties of KTP make it superior as an electrooptic modulator as well as an optical waveguide device, including phase modulators, amplitude modulators and directional couplers.
